The Agape Food Pantry

The Agape Food Pantry, under the banner of Park Hill UMC & a partnership with EC3, has been operating at an extraordinary level!

The pantry has been feeding those in need for a long time, while being mindful of different cultural and religious food requirements. ​

​

In addition to feeding families every Sunday (for more info & how to access click here), the pantry has hosted several community dinners to celebrate the cuisines of all around the world. 

​

This year was also the first of a three year grant that the pantry received from the city of Denver. In that year the pantry achieved:​

• 938 total children served at the pantry, above the 900 we projected. (Not including children we serve monthly at 2 after school programs.)

• 920 total households served.

• 64% of the families who responded to our survey said that they spend 67% of their income on rent, so food access is paramount.

• 64% of those served at the pantry received interpretation.

• We doubled the amount of produce that we are able to provide over the past year. 

• We purchased 61,000 pounds of food and at least an equal amount was donated.

• 64 out of 77 survey respondents said that the pantry helped them increase their vegetable consumption.
